Greetings

Dear friends and colleagues

,Welcome to the 7th Spring Symposium in Cavtat, Croatia!
I cannot think of a nicer way to welcome the spring season than in this picturesque city amongst the warm and friendly company of our friends and colleagues attending this event.
The Symposium’s chairperson Professor Jasna Lipozenčić and her hard working team have prepared a very interesting programme, covering all aspects of dermatology and venereology, thus blending these two specialties most fitingly to the Symposium’s motto “Harmony in Dermatology & Venereology” and leaving participants satisfied with the new information learnt during these scientific sessions.
Visitors will find equally harmonious the early evening strolls along the seaside whilst tak-ing in the fresh air of the Adriatic sea.
Dubrovnik is also close by, where some may wish to wander and explore the charming streets of this neighboring city. Whatever the choice, each will find their own sense of pleasure in this country of rich culture and heritage.
I wish you all a memorable experience and welcome you to the 7th EADV Spring Symposium.

Warm regards

Andreas Katsambas
EADV President

Dear friends and colleagues,

The Spring Symposium of EADV has become a lovely tradition of bringing together der-matologists and venereologists from all parts of Europe and the world.
Therefore, Croatia is proud to host this major event for the first time and to welcome EADV on our home soil for the first time.It is my pleasure and honour to invite you, on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and Local Scientific Committee, to attend the 7th EADV Spring Symposium which will be held in Conference Centre Hotel “Croatia”, in Cavtat, Croatia, from 13 – 16 May, 2010.
The 7th EADV Spring Symposium in Croatia will run under the logo “Harmony in Derma-tology and Venereology”, inspired by the need of co-existence of both dermatology and venereology, which is tradition in Croatia and conditio sine qua non in European medi-cine. Croatian dermatovenereologists will point out their affiliation through registered 47 abstracts for active participation.
All of us are concentrating on successful scientific as well as social success of 7th EADV Spring Symposium.
There are active participants from 59 countries, mostly from Romania, Croatia, UK, Spain, Portugal, Korea, Serbia, Poland, Germany, even from United Emirates, USA, Mexico, Morocco, and Japan. This 7th Spring Symposium will bring together a rich scientific programme emphasizing the profound and complexinfluence of skin health on all the aspects of human life. Prevention as well as management of skin and venereal diseases will give the opportunity for physicians, scientists, and patients to meet and share the perspective of dermatology and venereology. In addition to the scientific programme, you will not only find that Dubrovnik’s surrounding area is lovely in spring, but also that more distant regions offer various possibilities to spend memorable days. We invite you to discover and enjoy the rich cultural heritage of our tumultuous history at the crossroad of civilizations, as well as Croatia’s splendid natural landscapes. Here, one can experience the warm hospitality the Croatians have to offer as well as majestic mountains and the breathtaking shores of the Adriatic Sea.Take the opportunity to visit Croatian historic cities, stunning countryside and coastline. A variety of tours has been organized for Symposium participants, ranging from guided tour of Dubrovnik, wine-tasting at the Pelješac vineyards and a visit to Trsteno-Ston, the oldest botanical garden in Croatia, to a tour of the Elaphite Islands.

Let your stay in Cavtat convince you to come on Symposium as I tried with my writing to persuade you!
